This dissertation deals with the key success factors (KSFs) of the competitiveness of China's textile and clothing manufacturing industry against a backdrop of change in retailing, changed UK apparel retail consumer demands and China's WTO accession.
The literary research develops an understanding of competitiveness, and assesses competitiveness in China by applying Porter's National Diamond to develop KSFs for competitiveness. The research deals with testing these KSFs and assessing how far China's textile and apparel manufacturing industy has developed its competitiveness at the dawn of 2005.
